I’ve been dreaming about making this piece for a long time and I can’t believe it’s finally real.
Buttery gold or golden butter? In this case, golden butter. After a few years of homing in on my favorite butters, the final form of this slab chunk hunk was finally molded. The idea popped in my head right before Covid hit, and then during the pandemic-quarantine bubble it was incidentally further formed by absorbing the butter enthusiasm of TikTok creators like Condiment Claire and Tess Madalyn (a watercolor cartoon dream era for me). This one is a condiment butter, as Condiment Claire would say.
It’s a French butter. A soft scalloped badge with a sprinkle of broken diamond salt crystals. The shape (such an ingenious mix of delicate and rustic) isn’t just cosmetic. Darling scallops mean easier slicing, perfect tablespoon servings without literal numerical marks.
I may have had the seed of this idea for years (butter is golden and cute, groundbreaking), but it still took the perfect coalescence of inspiration and experience (eating) to make something that felt true to me rather than something emptily trendy. Oftentimes it’s not that the inspiration is meant to be considered revolutionary, but simply that there’s an effort to make the execution a warm piece of pocketable beauty.
The other attempt I made with this charm was to lean a bit away from mimicking a perfect dollhouse miniature object, and a little bit more towards something that was closer to an allusion.

Buttery gold or golden butter? In this case, buttery gold. Inspired by the meta beauty of materials/ingredients of their own merit. One day I was walking in the district glancing at the pictures of gold bullions (BUY SELL GOLD) for the thousandth time when the image floated by—what if butter was sold like gold ingots? Fine butter instead of fine gold, the fat percentage instead of the gold percentage. After a few years of really honing in on my favorite butters fueled by the butter enthusiasm of TikTok creators like Condiment Claire and Tess Madalyn (as well as a sprinkling of hallmark and ingot love from Jewelrytok) the final form of this slab chunk hunk was finally molded and formed, the soft badgey-pill like shape inspired by certain French butters.
Stamped on the other side with a satisfying cow “hallmark” inspired by antique French butter molds and British gold hallmarks.
My dream is that it would principally be produced in 20K gold, a percentage reference to luxurious high fat European butters. Please contact for custom requests if you would like it in another karat or alloy.

TikTok is crazy. I got multiple comments asking for Ear Earrings wearing Ear Earrings and I thought they were trolling until I legit got emails about it.
Each ear was meticulously carved and modeled in wax before being cast in solid sterling silver. Even though they're small you can see every contour and curve.

I found out that there’s no official name for these dinky little tabs. End tabs, chain tabs, end tags. It’s that thingy at the end of your chain that you clasp your clasp onto instead of a jump ring to make the dainty necklace or bracelet look finished. Idk if it’s just me, but I feel like they’ve generally fallen out of use in modern fine jewelry. For some reason, they always make me think of children’s jewelry (fondly).
Meta jewelry, an homage to jewelry itself for the jewelry lover, is what this charm is about. Marveling at the functional forms employed in the ornamental. The jewelry version of soda tab worship. Inspired by single chain link charms, singling out the self-contained beauty of a component that is usually part of a whole.
